Trip
details

In a world where travel has become predictable, Chile still feels raw, vast and alive. This carefully crafted winter journey balances thrilling outdoor movement with soul-nourishing moments of connection and rest.

You’ll ski majestic active volcanoes, chase perfect powder, soak in hidden hot springs and wind down in boutique lodges — fourteen days, one seamless roadtrip.

Where the road goes

From the central Andes above Santiago, out to the wild coast and wine valleys of Pichilemu, and deep south to the volcanoes, lakes and thermal waters of Pucón: mountains, valleys and ocean, woven into one expedition built to last a lifetime.

Meet your guide

“I’m Pepa. I’m Chilean, I spent years in Australia — and I built Do Local to bring my two homes together.”

I grew up skiing these volcanoes. I know the hidden tracks, the quiet lodges, and the family that lights the fire when we arrive. I host every trip myself — and I’m the one you’ll speak to before you book.

Why Chile

Why Chile stands apart

Direct from Australia

Direct flights land you in Santiago — closer than you think, no endless connections.

World-class skiing

Bigger terrain, reliable snow, and resorts that stay blissfully uncrowded.

Volcano skiing

Carve the flanks of active volcanoes — something almost nowhere else offers.

Hidden hot springs

End ski days steaming in geothermal springs tucked into native forest.

Food & wine

Open-fire asados, fresh seafood and Chilean wine shared beneath the mountains.

Great value

Remarkable value next to an Australian or European ski holiday.

Good to know

Questions, answered

How do I reserve a spot?
A deposit secures your place, with the balance due before departure. We walk you through the full payment schedule and cancellation terms on your booking call — no surprises.
What group size can I expect?
Small by design. Departures run with six to ten travellers, so the experience stays personal and the connections real.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes — it’s mandatory for every traveller and must include medical and sports cover for the mountain activities.
Who is this trip for?
Travellers who want depth over tourism: people who value food, nature, design and genuine connection more than crowded resorts.
Can I book a private trip?
Absolutely. We can tailor the same curated experience for your own crew, a couple, or a company, on your own dates.
Why DoLocal instead of a regular tour company?
Because we’re Chilean, born and raised, and we host every trip ourselves — you experience Chile through the people and stories that make it unique.

The return
You’ll land back in Sydney different.
With a second family in Chile, and a story people actually ask you to tell.
